INDY H1/9 Human Armature - Solid Limbed with Hinge, 9mm & 6mm Link Plate Assemblies

Standing 244mm tall to the shoulders this Adult Human Armature has a double neck joint, 4mm diameter backbone with a 9mm Back Link Plate Assembly with solid nickel plated steel limbs and stud ends. The complex shoulder design allows for more realistic human movement and the knee, hip, elbow, upper arm and head hinge link plate assemblies allow for a more controlled & realistic skeletal movement. The ankles, upper shoulder and lower neck are standard link plate assemblies that can be either aluminium or stainless steel. The central backbone link assembly plates, shoulder block and hip block are machined from brass. The hip block has a single M4 rigging point and each foot has an M3 tie down point plus the provision of magnetic hold down. The armature is supplied with a 75mm long M4 rigging stud complete with nuts and washers, two standard M3x50mm tie down assemblies, two M3x12mm tie down screws and Allen Keys for adjusting the tension of the Link Plate Assemblies.

Head and Complex Shoulder Assembly

The head and complex shoulder assembly comprises an M4 shoulder block assembly, 3 x standard link plate assemblies, 3 x hinge link plate assemblies and a 3mm diameter head stud.

The limbs and studs are machined, nickel plated, steel. The Standard Link Plate Assemblies are anodised aluminium or stainless steel and the Hinge Link Plate Assemblies are anodised aluminium all secured with an M3 stainless steel screw.

During assembly the Complex Shoulder Block Stud Ends are secured using Loctite 270 high strength thread lock.

Back Assembly

The back assembly comprises a Brass M4 Complex Shoulder Block, Brass M4 Hip Block and a Brass Link Plate Assembly with 9mm diameter nickel plated steel balls and 4mm diameter nickel plated solid steel upper and lower backbone.

The Link Plates are secured using an M4 stainless steel screw.

During assembly the M4 threaded stud ends are secured into the shoulder and hip blocks using Loctite 270 high strength thread lock.

Hip Assembly

The hip assembly comprises 2 Hinge Link Plate Assemblies and an brass Hip Block with a 4mm diameter backbone. The hip block has one M4 threaded hole that can be used with the M4 Rigging Stud.

The limbs and studs are machined, nickel plated, steel and the link plates are anodised aluminium secured using an M3 stainless steel screws.

During assembly the hip block stud ends are secured using Loctite 270 high strength thread lock.

6mm Hinge Link Plate Assemblies

The lower knee, hips, elbows, upper arm and head 6mm hinge link plate assemblies comprise two anodised aluminium link plates assembled using an M3x8mm stainless steel screw. This allows full movement of the upper 6mm ball socket but locks the lower ball providing more realistic skeletal movement.

The forearm is a machined steel 3mm diameter stud and the design requires the manufacture of a hand assembly which is fixed to the forearm using K&S square bar and strong adhesive.

The ankles, upper shoulders and lower neck Standard 6mm link plate assemblies comprise two aluminium link plates assembled using an M3x8mm stainless steel screw.

Foot Assembly

The foot assembly comprises machined nickel plated 8mm wide steel foot, nickel plated steel limbs with anodised aluminium or stainless steel link plate assemblies.

The foot has an M3 tapped hole that can used to Tie Down your armature using the M3x12mm screws or the 50mm Standard Tie Down Assemblies, both supplied with your armature, or you can use strong magnets.

During assembly the foot stud end is secured to the steel foot using Loctite 270 high strength thread lock.

The INDY Hinge Range: The INDY Hinge Range of Armatures have a combination of Standard & Hinged Link Plate Assemblies. The joints on the Lower Knees, Hips and Arms are HINGED to provide a more realistic skeletal movement. The armature is assembled using machined nickel plated solid steel limbs and stud ends with 6mm ball joints combined with anodised aluminium shoulder and hip blocks eliminating the need for thread locked link/ball assemblies.
The INDY 6 Range: The INDY 6 Range of Armatures uses Standard Link Plate Assemblies and is assembled using machined nickel plated solid steel limbs and stud ends with 6mm ball joints combined with anodised aluminium shoulder and hip blocks eliminating the need for thread locked link/ball assemblies.
The INDY 9 Range: The INDY 9 Range of Armatures have a combination of Standard & Hinged Link Plate Assemblies. The PROFESSIONAL Range: The Professional Range of Armatures use Standard Link Plate Assemblies and is assembled using precision machined 6mm nickel plated steel balls in the link assembly with M3 stainless steel limbs that are secured during assembly using Loctite 270 high strength thread lock.
